About

This blog is written and maintained by Larry Bennett.

I am a passionate follower of Jesus who has discovered the joy of what it means to rest in Christ.

For years I lived the typical Christian life trying to measure up to God’s acceptance, but I never felt  like I was making the grade.  I was in bondage to performance for acceptance. I knew from Scripture that God loved me since I was His child, but somehow along the way I felt like I had to earn that love by good religious performance.

As a result of some deep brokenness, I came to the end of myself and discovered that God loved me because I am in Christ, not because I perform well.  The Christian life took on a whole new meaning.  I now serve God not to gain His acceptance but because of my intense love for Christ.

This blog is about discovering what it means to have a Christ-centered perspective.  Discovering Christ as life has altered my worldview from a performance based mentality to a true biblical worldview that is centered in the sufficiency of Christ.

I hope you will join me in this journey as we examine  all aspects of the Christian life from a Cross and a Christ-centered perspective.
